The numerous cultural initiatives of Venice, art exhibitions, the monuments, the Casino, the splendid lagoon and the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, make of this city a unique scenario in the world.
Padua & Brenta River
Probably better known as the city of St. Anthony , Padua is one of the most important Art cities in Italy. The Brenta Riviera is made up of districts and green spots along the ancient course of a river linking Padua to Venice.
Treviso, Asolo & Castelfranco
Medioeval town, surrounded by sixteenth –century walls, Treviso is an elegant city lying at the confluence of the Sile and Botteniga rivers, canals from which cross it picturesquely. Known as " la città dai cento orizzonti" ( the city with a hundred horizons), the medieval walled town of Asolo presides over a tightly grouped range of nearly gentle peaks in the foothills of Dolomities.Once stood on the western edge of Treviso's territory and battlemented brick walls that the Trevisans trew around the town in 1199 to protect it against the Paduans still encircle most of the old centre ( or Castello ).
Verona, Garda & Cortina
Verona has always been a culpulsary stop, a "must" for a great travellers of the past. Almost the entire eastern coast of Italy's largest ( 370 sq.km ) and undoubtedly most beautiful lake, the Garda Lake. Wonderfully lain in the centre of the wide valley of Ampezzo, crowned by the magnificent peaks of Cristallo and Tofana, Cortina ( 1,224m) is the geographical heart of the Venetian Dolomities.
Bassano, Marostica & Vicenza
Situated on the Brenta River where it widens from the hills, Bassano lies by Monte Grappa and the "Altopiano di Asiago".
Thanks to the works of art by the great architect " Andrea Palladio", Vicenza has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Marostica's a fantastic little town, famous for her particular square, where every year, is played a human Chess Game on the square.
